Pickrel, Schaeffer, and Ebeling, Co., LPA is
pleased to announce that
James W. Kelleher,
partner and executive vice president, was recently
elected President of The Board of Trustees of the
Greater Dayton Volunteer Lawyers Project. Through 700
volunteer attorneys, VLP provides pro-bono legal
services to needy individuals in Montgomery County and
five adjacent counties. Jim was also appointed by The
Ohio State Bar Association to a statewide task force to
develop Ohio’s Pro-Bono legal services program.
Jim
practices law in the area of plaintiff personal injury,
wrongful death and products liability law. In addition
to his practice, he is an adjunct professor at The
University of Dayton School of Law and currently teaches
evidence and trial advocacy. He previously taught
products liability law from 1987-2007.
He
currently serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees of
Chaminade-Julienne Catholic High School. He is a past
president of the Board of Trustees of Catholic Social
Services of the Miami Valley, the Dayton Bar Association
Carl Kessler Inn of Court and The Miami Valley Trial
Lawyers Association. And, was most recently named a 2008
Ohio Super Lawyer in the field of plaintiffs personal
injury law. |

Pickrel, Schaeffer, and Ebeling, Co., LPA is pleased
to announce that five of our attorneys have been
selected as 2008 Ohio Super Lawyers, as published
in Ohio Super Lawyers magazine. Only 5% of
attorneys in the state of Ohio are chosen to be listed
in Ohio Super Lawyers. Those being recognized are
Paul E. Zimmer, a
shareholder in the firm practicing in the areas of
corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, succession
planning and health care law;
Alan B. Schaeffer,
also a shareholder, concentrates his practice in the
areas of construction law, environmental law, land use
planning, zoning, real estate law and municipal law;
James W. Kelleher,
a shareholder practicing in the area of plaintiff
personal injury, wrongful death and products liability
law;
James L. Jacobson
is a shareholder serving clients in estate planning,
trust and probate law and
Donald G. Schweller,

David H. Montgomery |

Pickrel,
Schaeffer, and Ebeling, Co., L.P.A. is pleased to
announce that
David H. Montgomery has
become a Shareholder with the Firm. Practicing law for
nine years, David has concentrated his practice in the
areas of commercial and residential real estate matters,
including; land use planning, zoning law, variances,
planned unit development, nuisances, commercial leasing,
residential and commercial purchase and sales contracts,
and construction law.
David
works with numerous local townships and municipalities
throughout Ohio, in addition to various developers,
architects, civil engineers, contractors, appraisers,
and other professionals associated with land development
and redevelopment. David received his Juris Doctor from
the University of Dayton School of Law in 1998, and was
admitted to the Ohio Bar and U.S. District Court,
Southern District of Ohio that same year.
He has
recently been recognized as one of Ohio Super Lawyers
Rising Star, and is a Forty under 40 honoree. David is
involved with the Ohio State Bar Association Real
Property Section Council, the Dayton Art Institute, the
Miami Valley School, and other various community and
professional organizations. He and his wife, Mary,
reside in Dayton. |

Andrew C. Storar Recognitions |
|
Pickrel,
Schaeffer, and Ebeling is proud to announce that Andrew
C. Storar has not only been elected to become a Fellow
of the American Bar Foundation (ABF), but also selected
to join the Ohio State Bar Foundation’s 2007 Fellows
Class.
Becoming a Fellow of the American Bar Association is a
great honor and is limited to one third of one percent
of lawyers in America. The ABF was founded in 1952 by
the American Bar Association and is now recognized as
the premier sociolegal research institute in the
country.
Being a
member of the Ohio State Bar Foundation's 2007 Fellows
Class is a professional honor, with only five members of the
Dayton Bar Association being selected in 2007. Fellows
are selected based on outstanding dedication to the
welfare of the community and the maintenance and support
of the major objectives of the Foundation.
Andy
serves with many non-profit and charitable
organizations. He is past president of the Kettering
Education Foundation, President of Places, Inc., and was
elected Volunteer of the Year 2006 at YMCA Camp Kern by
the Dayton YMCA.
Andy
has been practicing law for over 25 years, and has
extensive experience in complex commercial litigation,
appropriations litigation, contract enforcement,
premises liability, zoning challenges, media law and
realtor errors and omissions claims. Mr. Storar has
extensive experience before the Ohio Supreme Court and
Federal Appellate Courts, and he is AV rated by
Martindale Hubbell. Pickrel, Schaeffer, and Ebeling
would like to congratulate Andy on his accomplishments. |
