Bio

After practicing law in Michigan for over 10 years, Jerry joined Pickrel, Schaeffer & Ebeling in 2004.  In Michigan, Jerry served as general legal counsel for the City of Leslie and was a member of the Michigan Association of Municipal Lawyers. Along with his municipal work, Jerry also represented several manufacturers, developers, physicians and business owners.  He provided legal services to churches and nonprofit organizations, both as a board member, and as outside counsel.

 

Since joining Pickrel, Schaeffer & Ebeling, much of Jerry’s work has been in land use and governmental law. In 2005, Jerry was named Law Director for the City of Vandalia, and in 2017 he was named Law Director for the City of Huber Heights.  Jerry also provides legal services to other municipalities and townships regarding real estate and development matters.

 

Along with representing municipalities, Jerry works with private sector clients including commercial transactions, real estate matters and intellectual property, concentrating on trademarks and copyright matters.

 

Jerry is a shareholder with the firm.  He lives in Springboro with his wife Jennifer, 3 daughters and 2 sons.
