Bio

James L. Jacobson, estate planning attorney and shareholder with the firm and has practiced for over 30 years in the field of estate planning, estate and trust administration, and business succession planning.  This includes the analysis and preparation of estate plans ranging from simple wills to very complex and sophisticated trusts of all varieties.  He also has extensive experience in estate and trust administration, covering the full spectrum from modest to multi-million dollar estates.
 
Jim is dedicated to providing personalized service to all of his clients.  As a third generation attorney, he offers a depth of knowledge, experience, and expertise that allows him to present a variety of estate planning options to his clients.  He stresses to all clients that estate planning is an ongoing process that may need to change as a client’s needs and objectives change, as laws change, and as new planning tools and techniques are developed.
 
Several articles about estate planning and probate issues written by Jim have been published in many local papers such as The Dayton Daily News, Dayton Business Journal and Local Community newspapers.  In addition, Jim has made numerous presentations on the subjects of estate planning, probate and trust law for local retirement communities and  other community groups throughout the Greater Dayton area.
