We are proud to announce that Breanne Parcels has recently joined our Municipal Law team. Breanne will concentrate her practice on the needs of local governments and business clients. After a decade as an award-winning journalist, she earned her law degree from the University of Dayton in 2012. Breanne then returned to her hometown of Urbana and served as law director and municipal prosecutor for Champaign County for more than three years. Breanne has a wealth of knowledge about land use issues, legislation, law enforcement concerns, public records and real estate. Breanne also has experience with incentives for economic development, such as tax increment financing, community reinvestment areas and enterprise zones. She has also counseled public sector clients on cybersecurity issues including data protection and social media.
In addition to her expertise in local government law, Breanne has hands on experience resolving issues that are complex and high profile. When faced with a crisis, businesses and individuals need lawyers like Breanne who will provide sound advice from a legal, regulatory and media relations perspective.
