Equal Employment Opportunity Commission Deadline Extended to May 31, 2019

If you are an employer with at least 100 employees, or a federal contractor with at least 50 employees, you are likely aware that you are required to submit an annual Employer Information Report known as the “EEO-1.”  Due to the partial government shutdown which ended early in January 2019, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) did not open the annual survey or send out access information to employers. Therefore, the deadline for submitting your annual reporting has been extended from March 31, 2019 to May 31, 2019.  According to the EEOC, details and instructions for the 2018 EEO-1 report will be forthcoming.
